Campaign materials and messages encourage physicians to speak to patients about the need for the secure exchange of electronic medical histories, and to explain how access to these records can save time and improve care.  Materials aimed at consumers explain that secure electronic health information exchange will make their records available to healthcare providers when they are traveling, when x-rays or lab results are needed, or in case of emergency.

Use the brochures above when you reach out to physicians, employers and others in your community. They can be downloaded and printed, and there is space on the back panel for your logo and local contact information.  And don’t forget to use the real-life case examples available to you. When possible, use the case example template to illuminate your own community involvement in health information exchange.
